How much do sessions cost?
Individual sessions are $180, and run 45 minutes.
Couples sessions are $240, and run 60 minutes.
Because I don’t want cost to be the barrier to our working together, I also offer sliding scale options when available.
Do you accept insurance?
I am an out-of-network provider and do not work directly with client’s insurance billing or reimbursement. Most out-of-network plans will cover anywhere from 40-100% of the cost of our sessions. You'll pay for sessions directly, and on request I can provide you with a superbill statement to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
To prevent surprises or misunderstandings about your coverage, you may want to ask your insurance provider:
Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?
Do I have a deductible? How much is it and how much has been met?
What percentage of the therapy fee is covered?
Is there a maximum amount covered per session?
How many sessions are covered per year?
Do you reimburse at a different rate for 60 minute sessions and 45 minute session?
What methods of payment do you accept?
I keep the card of your choice on file, to process through our HIPAA-compliant billing system. I also accept Venmo.
What is your cancellation policy?
Please give me at least 48 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule our appointment. Otherwise you will be responsible for the full session fee.
Are our sessions confidential?
Communication between a client and their therapist is completely confidential. No information can be disclosed without prior written permission from the client. However, I am required by law to report to the authorities the following circumstances:
If I suspect that an individual may be involved in child abuse or dependent adult or elder abuse.
If a client is threatening serious bodily harm to another person.
If a client intends to harm themselves.
