Individuals
I warmly welcome clients from all walks of life, though I have specialized experience in supporting adults in the LGBTQIA+ communities, as well as people exploring their possible connections to those identities."
The kinds of topics I explore with clients include developing a deeper understanding of their identities or sexuality; changes and challenges in their relationships; healing from past and present trauma; anxiety and depression; and work and life transitions.
My approach is multidisciplinary, drawing from psychodynamic, CBT/DBT, art & music therapy, somatics, and IFS therapies.
My practice is welcoming and affirming; in sessions, I strive to create a safe place to talk through what’s important to clients, and to help them find healthy ways to deal with the challenges in their lives.
Couples
I offer psychotherapy for couples and intimate partners, embracing diverse relationship styles and identities.
Therapy is a good way for partners to strengthen their alliance, to resolve communication problems, and to nurture a connection to support each other. Sometimes, that also includes working through the pain and changing expectations involved in dissolving a relationship in a kinder, more amicable way.
Beyond the tools I use in individual therapy, my work with couples is particularly informed by Gottman, EFT, and Imago approaches.
